Loved, Loved , Loved the great food, and whimsical environment. Our server was like family, so amazing. After a week in Myrtle Beach- we finally had a great meal! The shrimp and grits was a hit with my daughter and the crab legs were cooked just perfectly! The oysters were probably the best I've ever had and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly with old bay. So many options on the menu! The only thing I would improve on is the size of the kids meal portion- my 5 year old ordered a pizza and it didn't come with a side- we had to order some French fries for him- after a long day on the beach little boys are hungry!!! If I were here another night- I'd come back tomorrow. You'll be happy you came..... worth the drive!

Inlet Crab House was a cute little local restaurant. Our server Mandy was great! We started with hush puppies which were the best we've had in Murrells inlet! We also had the shrimp and spinach dip which was delicious. It had a bit of a kick to it and tons of flavor! For main course I had the crabcake dinner. They were HUGE and very tasty. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Finally got a chance to try this place, and it didn't disappoint. It's a favorite spot for locals which is always a good sign. I started my meal with the crab stuffed jalapeños which were quite tasty. Another member of our party had the shrimp and spinach dip which was also quite good. I ordered the grilled seafood platter which consisted of flounder, shrimp, scallops, oysters and a crab ball. It was all very fresh tasting and piping hot off the grill. The only reason I took a star away was it was quite warm in the restaurant, and the bartender seemed offended when asked if the air conditioning was on the blink. That, and just the cramped seating inside which always is a turn off for me. Those negatives aside, our server Mandy was excellent! Her cheerful personality and the very tasty food far outweighed the few negatives. I will definitely be back soon and look forward to trying more selections from the menu.

This place is the shizz. While visiting Murrells Inlet, we knew we had to have seafood while in South Carolina's seafood capital. This place was recommended to us by a waitress at another restaurant, so naturally we had to try it. I am so glad we did. Our waitress was really nice and patient with us while we tried to decide how we would sate ourselves. The decor is interesting and eclectic. And the food is glorious. We split three appetizers- the oysters Rockefeller, crabbed stuffed jalapeños, and fried soft shell crab. These dishes barely touched the table before they were devoured up. The crab that's in the jalapeño skins is AMAZING. For the entree, we split a seafood platter which was complete with flounder, shrimp, scallops, oysters, and crab balls. We had the platter fried because of vacay, and we loved it. If you need seafood and you're in Murrells Inlet, you must come here!

Hubby and I dropped in at 4:30 on a Saturday. Seated right away. Drink orders were taken right away. Food order came quickly. Crab legs and spicy steamed shrimp were perfectly cooked and fresh tasting. The cole slaw was absolutely perfect....NOT swimming in mayo....was slightly sweet and finely minced. Cabbage tasted fresh. Key lime tarts were excellent to end our meal with perfectly balanced tart sweetness. Our server, Kim, was very pleasant and prompt. Will definitely go back. Place is very small and decor is shabby chic which was very charming to us.

I know a lot of people talk about different restaurants in Murrell's Inlet, but there is no doubt in my head that this one is the best. Others may be fancier, or have more name recognition for tourists, but ICH is where the locals eat, and there's a reason for that. Start with the conch fritters. They have just the right amount of spice, must and delicious. After that, any of the entrees are delicious. Last night I had the fried scallops, and I can't stop singing the praises for it. I had planned it share some with my wife, but I ate then all so quickly, I didn't get a chance to give her one. To be fair, she had the shrimp basket, and I didn't get any either - she reports that they were delicious as well. Pass on the other places (you know which ones), and have dinner at Inlet Crab House.

I was hoping to find a "go-to" place for seafood when visiting my new timeshare; this place was recommended by the ladies in the timeshare office. Sadly, this will be a "never go-to" place. Why? Because the few pieces of shrimp and oyster I got as my "meal" was wildly over priced and over cooked. I ordered a starter of bacon wrapped shrimp for almost 10 bucks... while I wouldn't have minded the price for some large shrimp that was well seasoned and well cooked, what I got was neither. I got about 8 pieces of medium shrimp and while they were "wrapped in bacon", but both the bacon and the shrimp were overcooked. It looked like whomever cooked these forgot them on the broiler ad decided to serve them anyways. The fried oysters that I ordered as an entree came with NOTHING else... at 13.95 for a dozen. I did get a dozen.... of the smallest oysters that I have ever seen! They were heavily breaded and greasy. Stay away from these. I ordered a baked potato (for an additional 2.95) and got a decently sized potato... too bad it was burnt and came with the Land o' Lakes "butter taste" spread (basically - margarine). Service was adequate but no more. With the addition of sweet tea and a tip for the server, my bill came to almost FORTY BUCKS! Essentially, I was served lunch size portions of everything (in a shack) and was charged as if I were dining at the Ritz. I don't know what "locals" get charged, my timeshare lady told me that she and her husband never spend more than 20 bucks (for both of them) but that was most certainly not my bill! I will never step foot in this place again and if you do... well, I warned you.

A welcome relief from all the chains! Reminded me of the Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel Island; good fresh seafood, simply prepared and so good! Service was good, laid back atmosphere and so happy I tried the She-Crab Soup. Best I've had yet. Good prices too!

  • Susan K.

Absolutely incredible she-crap soup. Best I have ever tasted!! We shared the seafood platter and loved the freshness of the seafood and the light batter. My only suggestion for perfection would be to have shrimp that are a bit larger. We would definitely come back to this restaurant.

My friends have gone here for years and brought me here recently. Great fried sea food and very tasty she crab soup. Has a great local feel to it which is a nice contrast to some of the others in the area. Loved the food and will return without a doubt.

Love the broiled shrimp platter. We visit here each vacation visit. I have to say our waitress was not the best on this visit. It seemed we were an inconvenience to her. When asked for NO seasoning on the shrimp, it came with extra. She ignored us when we tried to get her attention to correct it. But this is usually a great place to eat.

Excellent food and service. Shrimp and Grits - awesome!! Fried Shrimp and Fried Oysters - awesome.

If you want a place away from the tourists this is the best place. A place where all the locals go. You would be a fool to pass up the grouper. Outstanding. Was about a 30 minute wait but it is well worth it.

  • Jenny E.

A reliable option. The pina colada that I had was weak and the crab stuffed poppers were just not the life altering experience I remember. Otherwise, no complaints about the food from our party of six. Service was just ok. Not particularly friendly. Not exactly rude. I did appreciate that they circled the fact that the tip was already included in the bill.

  • Edward W.

This place has a screened in patio with a nice breeze. The staff is young but friendly and attentive. Their hush puppies were probably the best I have had and I don't really care for fried food. The she crab soup was served hot and had great depth of flavor.

  • Brian H.

Unfortunately, the reviews of previous customers of this establishment did live up to merit. The waitress recommended we try the crab pizza dip.. Uh... Just marinara sauce, some chopped up green peppers, crab meat and smothered in cheese... Bleh. Then the Oysters Rockefeller were swamped in a horrible cheddar cheese with what tasted like wet spinach. No flavor whatsoever. My wife ordered stuffed mushrooms... Again, drowned in cheddar cheese... Bland. I will say the Sprite tasted good and our server did her best to be polite. We will not be going here again.

Stopped in based in reviews and because Dan wanted seafood. Easy lunch menu. Basic fish tacos, good. For all the talk of seafood Dan did shrimp quesadillas. Casual bar style food. This place must get nuts in the summer. Good stop for simple eats and a beer.

    (3)
  • Bill S.

Everything we had was great...except the shrimp and grits. I'm a big fan of shrimp and grits but this was a bland disappointment. Steer of grits and you will enjoy.

  • Laura R.

This little place is a festival for the eyes... No shortage of decor or bright paint colors here. We came because a friend from home suggested it, they actually came back multiple times on their trip they loved it so much. We were not disappointed! I got the shrimp quesadillas and the shrimp was so fresh and juicy, it was amazing, topped with plenty of gooey cheese- it's the snack dreams are made of.

  • Ken R.

This is a little gem! I can tell everyone that this is a great locals spot for sure! I also want to add that if you are looking for view and glamor, don't go here! But if you are looking for great seafood then this is one of the best! Matter of fact, no other murrells inlet place can compare as far as the food. The noisy oyster in myrtle Beach is also good but as far as murrells inlet, it don't get no better!

We came to Inlet Crab based on the reviews we read in Yelp- "the locals eat here." Unfortunately, this was not the experience we were hoping for. Two of the people in our party ordered the Mahi grilled- they were served half cooked fish. We ended up having to wait for nearly half an hour before the manager came to the table, saw the fish, sent it back and had new fish served. Sadly, the next day, none of us were feeling very well. Perhaps it was just a fluke- I had such high hopes based on what I had read. The atmosphere was cool, but not worth under-cooked fish.

    (1)
  • Gary H.

Perhaps not the place you would choose if you were just driving through; but upon the recommendation of a local, my wife and I ate dinner there this evening. The fried seafood platter was excellent. Actually it was some of the best I have had over the 40 yrs or so that I have been visiting the low country.

  • Liz H.

Great food and service. Kudos to Mandy, our waitress, who was a pro at waiting on us and the many others who packed the place. Awesome onion rings! So good that we had to have an additional order! Seafood fresh and great! This is not a "fancy" place, but is a casual seafood restaurant in the old-style Murrell's Inlet manner no longer found in many of the newer restaurants. Prices easy on the wallet! We'll be back!

    (5)
  • Amy K.

The restaurant was clean, service good, people friendly. Unfortunately not good quality food, if you want commissary food this is your place. Nothing was tasty. Everything tasted like old frying OILS! Would not recommend..... for the money go somewhere else.

We decided to try this place because of the reviews and liked it. Wait staff was fast and friendly even though it was pretty packed inside. Food was good, real hand breaded chicken tenders, and oysters. Soup was also tasty and the clams casino!

Small place but worth the wait. Delicious fried shrimp, scallops and flounder. Very nice wait staff and fair prices. Way better than calabash tourist trap shrimp shacks.

Excellent seafood option in the Myrtle Beach/Surfside Beach area... the lunch specials are great! We had the soup and sandwich combo (she-crab soup + shrimp poboy) and shrimp tacos. The soup, in particular, was great!

So good we ate there twice in one week. We are Murrell Inlet residents and regret that it took us so long to get in here. First, great FRESH seafood selections on the menu and at very affordable prices. A true GEM in the Restaurant Row Inlet collection of eateries. My first trip w/ with my son and we ate a light lunch. She Crab soup and Clam Chowder with a Clam Casino appetizer to share. Was great all for under $23. A few days later I returned w/ wife for lunch. We opted for the Lunch Fish Tacho w/ extra taco for $11.90 and the Lunch Flounder Basket. Both came with a side and coleslaw. Wife opted for the mixed corn & black bean and peppers medley. I had the potato salad. Mine was only $9.95. Both times the hostess and waitstaff were friendly, warm and very attentive. Keshia W and Andrea S were great servers. We will be back and this is one small place with limited seating that is WORTH the wait for a table on a busy evening. Some of the best value for your hard earned dollar. SaleebScore: Food 9.5/10, Service: 9/10, Value 10/10, Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Initially gave this place 5 STARS on Jan 25, 2014. =================== update June 2014: What Happened???? This was the 3rd time we ate here in that many months. After a long road trip the LAST thing we needed was a waitress with a bad attitude. The was the 1st time in 10-years that I stiffer the waitstaff a tip. Read my other reviews about the food, etc. But I could not walk away without having the last word on what a bad experience our waitress gave us. If they want to keep their ratings up.. there needs to be an attitude change or put her back in the kitchen cleaning plates. While Food, Valu and Atmosphere remained unchanged w/ the SaleebScore... Service dropped down to 2/10. Any lower and we would have walked out. 4 of 5 stars Value 1 of 5 stars Service (poor/terrible) 4 of 5 stars Food This dropped my original 5-Star to a 3 Star rating in all fairness... if this would have been my 1st experience it would have gotten only 1-Star.

Went here with my husband this past Saturday & loved it. The pictures on here of the inside must not be updated because the inside was awesome. Spicy peel and eat shrimp, baked potato, slaw and crab balls....everything was great!!! Would definitely come back here our next trip down. Not to mention our waitress was great. Would recommend this place to anyone to get away from the commercialization of Myrtle Beach.

  • Sam L.

This place was not good at all. I ordered the fish and shrimp baskets. Came with fries and slaw. Got an order of hush puppies as well. Everything came straight out of a freezer box. So overpriced for what it was and the portions were small. The slaw tasted old and mushy. In short it's a tourist trap

We loved our first visit here! We came for the crab legs, which were awesome & the salad was very fresh, too. Service was great, atmosphere was Very casual. We also got some conch fritters that were good & a delightful margarita! We can't wait to go back on our next trip! Oh, and prices were reasonable!

Had lunch here.... YES, we came back to have the shrimp and grits! This time I ordered my own! We were there for lunch. I had ask about the size of shrimp and grits for dinner, I figured a bit larger because of the cost difference but not for what they serve. The server just had to show us - the bowl is huge. She stated she never seen anyone eat all of it. Three of us had the she crab soup, high recommend getting this as well. One had steamed shrimp which they would order more if they knew how good they were going to be. One in our party did order a grilled chicken sandwich - look really good as well. We drove down from 22 & 17 to just eat here on our visit at Myrtle Beach. YES, I would drive again from Myrtle Beach to just eat here again - it's that good!

My grandparents took my boyfriend and I out to eat here a while back, and everything we had was good, albeit pricey. We decided to go again on our own about a month ago, mostly because I was obsessed with the tumbled multicolored glass in the parking lot, haha. We are greeted by an incredibly rude young lady with a blue streak in her hair. We wanted to sit in a booth, and she rolled her eyes at us and acted very inconvenienced by our request for a booth. Sorry, not sorry. We didn't want to sit at an awkward table right by the door in the middle of the restaurant. But the service was great and the food was great (even though the shrimp in the shrimp and grits were not deveined...which is GROSS, but we didn't notice it until later). We went back last week because we couldn't stop craving their salads, giving the rude host the benefit of the doubt that she was having an off day. Well, we were AGAIN met by the same incredibly rude, unhappy, and unprofessional host with the blue streak in her hair. We skipped the shrimp and grits, and received good food and good service. But when the first person you see when you walk in has an attitude problem, it kind of puts a bad taste in your mouth. Let me add, that my boyfriend and I are both servers and we both started out as hosts. It is NOT that hard to smile and say hello. Trust and believe I have smiled through worse than someone requesting a booth. I doubt we'll go back. We can find a good salad and over priced fried shrimp almost anywhere else without having to deal with someone's attitude problem. This girl has clearly chosen the wrong profession for her disposition. This restaurant would be better off without her.

After a day of traveling we stopped here. Heard this area had good seafood so thought we would give this colorful place a try. Our server Cindy was a pro. Twisted my arm into having the best she-crab soup around. Rest of dinner consisted of some really outstanding shrimp dishes. Nice casual place to relax and enjoy some great food. What you would expect from an Inlet area.

6 adults and three kids and everyone had a great time at this sibling reunion. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't have a wait. Food came out at great intervals. Drinks were cold and the food was hot. She crab soup, spinach/shrimp dip and salads to start, followed by a dozen oysters. Cold boiled and spicy peel and eat shrimp as well as the Mahi and some fried stuff. One person in our party even had the ribs. Everyone was stuffed when they left and talking about what a great choice it was. The only complaint? The GPS didn't exactly get us there. Two phones with google maps and a GPS in the car and they all had us turning at the Beaver Bar about a block away? Glad we backtracked!

Native Florida cracker and I know good seafood! Conch chowder was awesome then we moved on to the grouper which was excellent also we had some fried oysters which were awesome as well also try the onion rings. The service was as expected from a southern restaurant which was fabulous and our server was Jill she was delightful. I could go on with more positive adjectives but enough said.

It's not on the Marsh Walk, but the tumbled glass instead of gravel in the parking lot is cool. It's not the best choice for large parties, as most of the seating is booths and small tables. You might have a bit of a wait in the evening, even on weekdays. However, this is my go-to spot for fresh seafood served up the way I remember it from childhood. Shrimp and grits - got it. Hushpuppies - got 'em. Gi-normous fried seafood platter - got it - complete with fried oysters, shrimp, scallops, and flounder. Get the red rice as your side - it's super yummy, kind of creole flavor, and way more interesting than fries or baked potato. Slaw's not that special - get salad instead. Onion rings have a crunchy batter that's not my favorite - I prefer a lighter batter. But whatever you do, don't drive past that funky little blue building with the pink roof. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is friendly. What more can you want?

We absolutely love this place. The crab salad is awesome, as is the fried grouper. Prices are reasonable, service is good, beer is cold. For us, it just doesn't get any better.

Nice server. Food was ok for some, not so good for others in our party. Went with a group of 6 with a reservation. Two of us go the shrimp & grits. These were just ok. I was so hoping for something great as I love shrimp & grits. I was disappointed. Two others ordered the crab & they were happy. Another ordered a burger as they don't like fish of any kind. Said it was horrible - didn't even finish half the burger. Probably won't go back but the people working are very nice. And I love the decor - bright & fun! ** If you want great Shrimp & Grits go to Quigley's Pint & Pub in Pawleys. Just watch out for the smokers. (yuck) **

Casual, comfortable fisherman shack ambiance. Good menu selection. They make their own salad dressings- raspberry vinaigrette was our favorite. Conch fritter appetizer = delicious. Dined with a party of six: two Captain's Platters, Spicy Peel & Eat Shrimp, Crab Cake Platter, Fried Scallops Platter. Favorites were Crab Cakes & Peel and Eat Shrimp. Also of note was the rice side dish made with tomatoes and peppers, spiced with Cajun spices maybe? Everyone who tried the rice LOVED it! The one downside to the meal is that the selections on the Captain's Platter all must either be broiled or fried, not a combination of both. So the person who wanted fried shrimp & broiled scallops was out of luck, she had to get everything broiled. At a buffet place, there would've been more choices, but I personally think the quality here at The Inlet Crab House is much better than the buffet assembly line places. We'll definitely be back!

  • Tom B.

She crab soup was good. Ordered Shrimp and grits, which were tasty. Took leftovers home, but upon reheating them, noticed shrimp weren't deveined. A real turnoff, considering I ate most of them that way the night before, not being able to see them in the dim light and creamy sauce.

    (2)
  • Kati R.

This place was not a great find at all. The shrimp was not deveined and the soups had way too much butter. The service was extremely slow and our waitress had quite the attitude. It definitely was the "crab" bar!

  • Marc W.

Had a great dinner here. They seemed to be very generous with their portions. Also it must be noted that they serve some of the best fried fish I have ever had. The fried fish was lightly breaded and not greasy at all. Great job on the scallops too. If I'm in the area again I will return. Keep up the high standards.

OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE. Not a large place, so it gets crowded, get there early. The she crab soup was to die for , and the raw oysters were fantastic. They even have Fat Tuesday drink mix. I was in heaven. The seafood platters are huge and plentiful. can't wait to go back again.

Took forever for food, wasn't happy with fried shrimp, group I was with wasn't happy with there food either, over charger bill to $105.63 when actual bill was $35.24, service was terrible. Stay away.

Went during bike week - so perhaps partially my fault. But food was terrible! Had to send back broiled seafood platter, and their special Caribbean black grouper. I run a restaurant - would never serve either. Heinekens were good. We had to leave, without eating.

Just had dinner at this cute and quirky place. I wish I could say our dinner was great, but it was just really...meh. Service was quick and we were taken care of well. However I was pretty disappointed in the menu. I was expecting more crab options on their menu. I decided to have a cup of their She-Crab soup. I've never had it before, but its a cross between a chowder and bisque soup with crab in it. The soup tasted fine, but where was the crab? Oh, you mean the shreds that got caught in my teeth and that I could barely taste? Definitely overpriced for what I received. I also shared a pound of boiled spicy shrimp with my husband. So, so disappointed in this as well. It was over seasoned and tasted heavily of spicy Old Bay Seasoning. I could have made this myself at home. :( The couple of standouts from our meal included my daughter's grilled cheese sandwich (hahaha!). They used real cheddar, not the crappy processed American cheese stuff. Their hushpuppies were also really good! They serve them with honey butter which made them even yummier! They had a nice crispy outside and the inside almost melted in your mouth. How is that even possible?! Looking at the previous reviews I probably should have tried something fried since those meals seem to be positively rated. Oh well!!!

on a Tuesday evening at 542 pm, the place was not busy and it took 54 minutes to get our food............slow slow slow service. I watched people show up after us (with larger party) get their food and leave all before we got our food. the food was Okay. We will not be going there again.

An absolute must when in Myrtle Beach! Although we stay in Grande Dunes area the drive is well worth it! The she-crab soup is the gold standard that all others strive to match. The onion rings are incredible. Huge just the right amount of light flour dredge with a hint of heat with sweet steamed onion inside. All seafood is just off the hook fresh and prepared perfectly to preserve the flavor & quality of the fish. Never greasy or over cooked. Genuinely friendly homey atmosphere. Excellent service in authentic coastal "shack" Ignore all the over advertised slick places. This is where to go if you are really looking for the real deal in local seafood. I almost forgot to mention the full bar service. Very knowledgeable with great choice of beers liquors & wines Do yourself a favor. Check them out. Have a great meal supporting the local (not corporate America as in Bonefish, Red Lobster, etc) economy and still not blow the budget! I

We have returned to the Inlet Crab House numerous times since my first review. I must say that each visit has been great. I have the She-Crab soup each time, though I understand that the lobster bisque is exceptional I can't seem to bypass the crab. :) On our most recent visit, I tried the Caribbean shrimp tacos...which quickly became still yet another favorite! Inlet Crab House is now an 'every beach visit' destination - I highly recommend it.

Food was good, average for a seafood restaurant. Prices were a bit high for seafood restaurant where the docks are. the directions in Yelp do not take you to the restaurant. Wasted time and gas looking for it

  • Garrett B.

Average service, went with group of 12 so not factoring that in. Of the 12 most everyone was VERY disappointed with the food. The apps and she-crab soups were great, but the entrees were where everything went wrong. I know my seafood and the crab legs, shrimp, oysters, nearly everything but the fish was very obviously of the regular store bought frozen variety. My seafood platter at $22 or so was a joke, the seasoning was slathered on after it had all been cooked and had little flavor. The worst was nearly everyone who ordered fish, myself included, commented that it was a sloppy and waterlogged mess on that plate. Not flaky, but mushy fish mush. Gross.

Sad to say that we went back the next day it was that good. I NEVER would make a return trip like that but it was worth braking the rule. Ordered the oyster poboy - awesome yet again. I abandoned the bread half way through and just started eating the oysters. Whenever I'm in the area, I'm going to make sure I stop back at the ICH with an empty stomach

I ate lunch at the Inlet Crab House for lunch while in Myrtle for a week. I asked a fishermen at Captain Dick's where I could get a fresh grouper sandwich and he pointed me to the Inlet Crab House. I had the she-crab soup (recommended by fishermen) which was awesome. The soup recipe is the owners Grandmothers, you can't go wrong with it. The grouper sandwich had great taste, it was served with lettuce and tomato on a toasted fresh hoagie bun. The inside was decorated with a ton of things of a retired fishing boat captain. The owner was once a fishing captain that retired to get into the restaurant business. Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. The price isn't bad either. I will be back to the Inlet Crab House if I am ever in the Myrtle area again. You too should make this a place to eat in the Myrtle area

Probably the best meal of the week. It's hard to find places that aren't tourist traps in the area. The waitresses and bartenders are friendly and welcoming, the food is great (best oysters I've had in the area), and it's a fun local spot.

We visited Inlet Crab House this past Saturday after a recommendation from a friend and I must say, we were very disappointed with our overall experience. Its a cute place, but that's where it stops. Our waitress never told us her name and was rather unfriendly the entire time. She had Princess on her name tag so that's all we know about her. My husband ordered the She Crab soup which he did enjoy even though he said it was much thinker than he prefers. I originally ordered the Conch Stew. I love conch. However, the stew was no more than a tomato base soup with lots of potato chunks. There was no conch flavor at all, most likely because as the waitress told me "Oh, the conch is minced in the soup." First of all, you mince garlic or herbs, not the conch which is to be the main star of Conch Stew. It should have been potato stew with minced conch! Out other issue is that a restaurant with the word "Crab" in its name should have many crab options. The had steamed crab legs and a crabcake, but that's it. No boiled crabs, crab fritters, crab dip fried soft shelled, nothing! I ordered the crab claws and they were like all others, nothing special at all. Again, it was not the worst meal we have had, but for the amount of money we spent and the other seafood options in the area, we would NOT suggest this restaurant.

This isn't fine dining, but it is great dining at a very reasonable price. The food is very fresh and good. Where else can you find a dozen fresh oysters for $11.95?!?! The crab dip ($9.95) was interesting...cheese and tomato based sauce...was different at first, but grows on you and yes, we did eat it all. The Caribbean grouper ($20.95) was two good-sized filets. The softshell crabs ($19.95) consisted of two crabs that were very tasty...but breaded and fried...so, be forewarned. Wine is by the glass, but very inexpensive at $4.50/glass...didn't see that they did wine by the bottle. Well worth a trip and now one of our must do's while at the beach.

Excellent seafood option in the Myrtle Beach/Surfside Beach area... the lunch specials are great! We had the soup and sandwich combo (she-crab soup + shrimp poboy) and shrimp tacos. The soup, in particular, was great!

(yuck) **

We loved our first visit here! We came for the crab legs, which were awesome & the salad was very fresh, too. Service was great, atmosphere was Very casual. We also got some conch fritters that were good & a delightful margarita! We can't wait to go back on our next trip! Oh, and prices were reasonable!

Gross.

Sad to say that we went back the next day it was that good. I NEVER would make a return trip like that but it was worth braking the rule. Ordered the oyster poboy - awesome yet again.

Absolutely incredible she-crap soup. Best I have ever tasted!! We shared the seafood platter and loved the freshness of the seafood and the light batter. My only suggestion for perfection would be to have shrimp that are a bit larger. We would definitely come back to this restaurant.

This place has a screened in patio with a nice breeze. The staff is young but friendly and attentive. Their hush puppies were probably the best I have had and I don't really care for fried food. The she crab soup was served hot and had great depth of flavor.

Stopped in based in reviews and because Dan wanted seafood. Easy lunch menu. Basic fish tacos, good. For all the talk of seafood Dan did shrimp quesadillas. Casual bar style food. This place must get nuts in the summer. Good stop for simple eats and a beer.

Perhaps not the place you would choose if you were just driving through; but upon the recommendation of a local, my wife and I ate dinner there this evening. The fried seafood platter was excellent. Actually it was some of the best I have had over the 40 yrs or so that I have been visiting the low country.

The restaurant was clean, service good, people friendly. Unfortunately not good quality food, if you want commissary food this is your place. Nothing was tasty. Everything tasted like old frying OILS! Would not recommend..... for the money go somewhere else.

We loved our first visit here! We came for the crab legs, which were awesome & the salad was very fresh, too. Service was great, atmosphere was Very casual. We also got some conch fritters that were good & a delightful margarita! We can't wait to go back on our next trip! Oh, and prices were reasonable!

Food was good, average for a seafood restaurant. Prices were a bit high for seafood restaurant where the docks are. the directions in Yelp do not take you to the restaurant. Wasted time and gas looking for it

Went during bike week - so perhaps partially my fault. But food was terrible! Had to send back broiled seafood platter, and their special Caribbean black grouper. I run a restaurant - would never serve either. Heinekens were good. We had to leave, without eating.

Stay away.

I love this place. Its been a tradition to go here when we come on vacation for years. You can't miss it with its pink roof and bright blue sides. Its got a very local vibe to it but they are more then welcoming to visitors. They are really know for their seafood dishes. I recommend the she crab soup, and the fried conch. They also have a great rawbar, I'm a big fan of the oysters. Unlike some of the other resturants further down the road, there is no reason to dress up to come here, just show up as you are is good enough.

Call before 5 to make a reservation!!!!! WELL worth the wait, food is UNREAL! I'm a health nut and don't eat fried food but I tried theirs and I don't know how they do it but the soft shell crab and scallops are off the charts. Clam Chowder was the real deal at this "cannot miss" stop in the area!

  • Dwayne H.

Food was so fresh! All 12 people enjoyed thier meal. It was a busy night, but they handled our large group with speed, accuracy, and grace. The ambiance is layed back. I would definately go back for more. The menu was great and I had a hard time deciding what to try next.

Found this place by accident...wanted to go to another restaurant but found it was closed for the season. So we stopped here. Place feels very beachy and local. Crab cakes were ok, but the shrimp and grits, and she crab soup were amazing. Wait staff was very nice as well.

If you want a place away from the tourists this is the best place. A place where all the locals go. You would be a fool to pass up the grouper. Outstanding. Was about a 30 minute wait but it is well worth it.

Perhaps not the place you would choose if you were just driving through; but upon the recommendation of a local, my wife and I ate dinner there this evening. The fried seafood platter was excellent. Actually it was some of the best I have had over the 40 yrs or so that I have been visiting the low country.

(yuck) **
